Meet Leo – A Joy to Paint!
I was commissioned to paint this gorgeous Labrador puppy, Leo, as a special Christmas gift in 2024—and I loved every minute of it! Capturing that soft puppy fur and his sweet expression was such a joy.

As always, I began with a Raw Umber underpainting to establish the values and structure, then built up the layers slowly to bring Leo to life. The gentle, pale background was chosen in collaboration with my client, giving the piece a soft, timeless feel that lets Leo shine.
