About Marion
I paint the quiet moments — the ones that slip past unnoticed in a busy day. Evening light on a familiar lane. A bird settled somewhere still. The warmth of a place that feels like home.
My work is rooted in atmosphere and tonal realism, built through classical oil painting methods that allow each piece to develop over time. I’m interested in paintings that feel lived in rather than polished for attention. The process matters as much as the finished piece.
I’m drawn to nostalgia, to wildlife and animals, and to portraits that feel familiar — as though you already know the person staring back at you. Above all, I’m interested in light and atmosphere: those fleeting moments that make you stop and just look.
I work from my studio in Cheshire, and every painting leaves here by hand, one at a time, in oils. Original works and selected commissions are available, with shipping across the UK and internationally.
